Katherine Treffinger is an Oregon-based painter whose work I have enjoyed for nearly seven years now. I am the proud owner of one of her paintings, entitled Aztec, a picture of which is below.

As a new project on her blog, Katherine is asking artists what drives their creativity. She posed this question recently to Matt, who was happy to respond.
