Sharing and caring

Hello, bloggers.

A recent comment by one of our readers asked me what are the best and worst characteristics I have.

In their comment they found great pleasure in my not caring what other people think, but by sharing.

I think that really hits the target right in the center, because that’s what it’s about:  constantly sharing with each other our pleasures, hopes, dreams, and aspirations.

Maybe we don’t have to make all the mistakes ourselves.

Can you put an old head on a young mind?  Probably not, but you can make suggestions.

Possibly, if you’re walking into an open sewer, you may fall down into it.  If you’re walking across a crowded interstate highway, you might possibly get hit by a car.  If you eat like a glutton, you’ll probably be fat.  If you’re starving yourself, you’ll probably be thin.

These can all be shared as suggestions, but not axioms or absolutes:  “If this happened to me, it might happen to you.”

Sharing is so important.  I think we should never forget that no matter how trite or apparent things might seem to us, it might be a brand new idea to someone else.

Thank you for reminding me about sharing and caring.

Matt

I love the picture (under "Sharing and Caring") of you with a beaming student.  You look genuinely happy, and it seems as though the student considers you a new friend.  You're doing a great job and have made a difference in many students' lives while spreading your message of peace, tolerance, and love through art.  Thanks from an ardent admirer!
